Day 27: Shopping Mall

Date: 6-16-13

It's amazing how many shopping malls there are around here. Maybe I only find it impressive because Tallahassee only has one that is still fully functional. Not only are the malls still in business but they are also HUGE. We decided to drive back to Catania today to visit one such mall because I needed to get some last minute things. After eating breakfast and driving the hour or so to get to the mall, the kids and the adults split up and went our separate ways to shop.

We immediately stopped by the food vendor and bought a mid morning snack. Federico got a rice ball, Quinn a crepe, and I got bread filled with ham, onion, and tomatoes. It was heavenly.

I was the only one who needed something in particular so I dragged all the boys into the girl stores with me. We also visited the Lindt chocolate store. I had to physically force myself to stop drooling.

After walking around for another hour or so, we met up for lunch at a fast food pizza place.

We split a pizza with hotdogs on top. It's actually a very popular pizza choice. When we finished eating, Mariella still had some stuff to get so us children crashed on the couches that were provided and used the free wifi.

We went home after everyone was finished getting what they needed and chilled. I skyped with my mom and then we lounged around and played with the Sicilian cards. Mattia had to get a haircut so he did that while Federico, Quinn, Sofia, and I walked down to the church and hung out there until the others picked us up by car. We drove to another mall and Mattia got school pictures and then we headed back to the sea house.

It was late when we got back so we just took a stroll along the shore of the beach before eating dinner. After we finished, Fabrizio joined us for a couple rounds of Uno before we all went to sleep.
